VTWIN 5.0

1 – Programming new ESA terminal

Programming support for new VT product:

2 –New features

- New driver CTNET for Control Techniques drives
- New tool for the IMPORT/EXPORT of VARIABLES from SAIA PG5
- Extension of the A-B Ethernet IP protocol to support PLCs of the FlexLogix family
- Updated remote MPI Download now also compatible with TS Adapter 2:
Transfer via MPI requires SIEMENS® STEP7® software and the installation of TeleService

VTWIN 5.02

1 – Programming new ESA terminal

The following new operator terminals can be programmed with:

2 – DEVICENET protocol available (on units with CAN)

3 – Import/Export Variables

4 – Number of project languages extended to 32

(plus other features not really applicable to US market)

VTWIN 4.81

1 – Programming new ESA terminal

The following new operator terminals can be programmed with:

VTWIN 4.79

1 – Programming the new ESA terminals

The following new operator terminals can be programmed with:

Note: for further details see most recent communications from the

Marketing department.

2 – New products downloadable via MPI

Project, firmware, recipes, etc. can all be transferred using the MPI network

connection, thereby simplifying and speeding up the communication. The

advantages of this type of transfer are:

The ESA terminals that currently feature transfer via MPI are:

- VT575W (also for the new versions of CAN and DP)

- VT585WB (also for the new versions of CAN and DP)

- VT595W (also for the new versions of CAN and DP)

This feature will gradually be extended to all graphic and touch screen terminals.

Note: terminals bought after 06/12/2004 will already be set up to be able to

transfer via MPI. Terminals before that date can be equipped to transfer via MPI

by upgrading the serial of the new BOOT, which can be carried out with VTWIN

4.79.

Transfer via MPI requires the installation of SIEMENS® STEP7® software.

3 – Importing/exporting translations in .csv

This function makes it possible to export and import translations in files in .csv format

(Comma Separated Values), which can be edited with all more common

spreadsheets (e.g. Excel®) with the advantage of the translations being arranged in

columns by language, being processable with automatic systems (Macro..) and being

linked to dictionaries.

4 – New communication driver

5 – VTWIN now in Chinese, too!

VTWIN is now in six languages!  You can now choose Chinese as one of the display languages of the

programming environment.

VTWIN 4.75

PROGRAM NEW PRODUCTS:

  • VT155W with ASP8/Ethernet ports
  • VT525W with ASP8/CAN ports
  • VT525W with ASP8/DP ports
  •  VT525H + HCB with MSP/ASP ports (for programming)

DOWNLOAD VIA MPI

The project, firmware, recipes, etc. can all be transferred by using the connection to the MPI network, thereby simplifying and speeding up the connection. The advantages of this type of transfer are.  The ESA terminals that currently are equipped for transfer via MPI are:

VT155W, VT505W, VT525W

This function will gradually be extended to all graphic and touch screen terminals.

Note: terminals bought after 30/07/2004 will already be equipped to transfer via MPI. Terminals bought before that date can be updated to transfer via MPI by making a serial update of the new BOOT, that can be done with VTWIN 4.75.

DATA DISPLAYED WITH FIXED DECIMAL FORMAT

The function allowing floating point data to be displayed also in “fixed point” format – thus specifying the number of digits to be displayed before and after the decimal point – has now been extended to terminals VT50, VT60, VT150W and VT160W.

NEW DRIVERS

  • Parker Automation 6K,6000 Zeta and GT6/GV6
  • Address extension of protocol parameters for Siemens USS for Micromaster drive to 9999.
